When the RACE series came out there was a lot of complaining about Steam. Previous titles as GTR, GT Legends and GTR 2 were sold mainly via stores as a boxed version. After some time the storm passed and people saw that Steam wasn't so bad afterall (especially easy reinstalling) with exception of the very slow loading of the game compared to titles such as DiRT2 that fire up in a second.

How would you like to purchase your next game?

1. LAN Mode
2. Full Functioning lights (as per GTR2)
3. Rain (not that I expect this to be missing, but it's not in all games, or poorly done)
4. High quality car physics, but also aids and other modes to entice a larger market and therefore increase total number of drivers
5. Long (6,12,24 hour) race lengths with dynamic lighting etc
6. Not by SimBin, but I think could be easily added, would be MoTeC-Add type data on screen

So the retro pack got released (the last simbin expansion pack for race 07) so I hope we can fianlly expect some news about GTR 3 ..

I would not be surprised if this is what Sim-Bims next one is about http://ttagroup.se/ ( in english from 16/12)
Swedish GT class will be close to the Reiza Stock car cars.

Apart from the question of what will ship with the game, maybe more important is if they are going to allow modding of the game so that people with the talent can add series if they so wish.
DTM GT3 GT4 Blancpain would be good starters to ship with the game
awaiting the 15th with bated breath

A lot of people had difficulties (and still have) making their own setups for GTR2 as their knowledge of making setups is too limited.

A small suggestion I would like to make is that setup options are described in game with tooltips.

If you hover over a certain setting it would be nice read what every option does and what the effect is of changing them.

What I'd like to know and Simbin aren't telling anyone is what sets THIS game apart from past GTR games and apart from other current next-gen sims? They keep showing screenshots and sound samples, but really who cares? Of course a newer game will look and sound better-

Hey Simbin- what makes GTR3 different? If they can answer that, then maybe I'll buy it, but not if it's the same ole' same ole'.

The previous GTR games were always based on real FIA GT seasons (2003 & 2004). With SHIFT 2 already having licensed FIA GT1 content from the 2010 season and the current real FIA GT1 season being a bit of joke content wise I don't know anymore what to expect in the game.

If there is no world championship licensed content availabe what series would you like to have in the game?

This topic could go on forever for me so I'll stick with the main ones:

• Night Racing of Course
• Longer Races
• Fully functional safety car
• Skin Saving Option so when you are online and someone has a skin, you have a choice to save it to your game forever
• Wider choice of race options like complete rearrnage of the grid for second race, Choice of 3 races, choice of shorter first race then longer second race etc. etc.
• Better championship options for offline championships...

With Raceroom Race Experience receiving all Simbin's attention, is GTR3 now vaporware? Is GTR3 the next Duke Nukem?
